I really would like to revive my blog. I just seem to have less and less time. Easier to post snippets on Facebook. But I'd like to try.
It's been more than a year since I've written a post. So much changes in that amount of time.
After the new year, we were ready to start our house hunt. Paul only had a little over 3 years left in the AGR program before he retires. He checked and was fairly assured there would be no upcoming moves, that we were here in Idaho to stay. So we found a realtor, who we really liked! If you are in need of one now or in the future check out www.daveramsey.com! They have a list of recommended realtors who have completed the Financial Peace program and promote it. Very cool! Anyways, we started out on our hunt. Within that same week, Paul was notified that he was pcs'ing(permanant change of station) to California! Completely came out of nowhere! He tried to see what he could do to get out of it, but in the end there was nothing. We've come to accept it, and realize that God has this in His plan. So though we are sad to be leaving Idaho, we are excited to see what is in store for us in California.
In the meantime....Jacob has turned 16! Abby just turned 14 :) Paul traded in his truck for a Honda hybrid car in anticipation of his longer commute and gas costs in CA. We really love the car though!
Abby participated in Fine Arts last month. She was in a group drama that received a superior score and an invitation to National Fine Arts in Kentucky. She also sang a solo, and played a guitar solo. She received excellent ratings for both.
Both kids are keeping quite busy. We are starting to finish up some of our school subjects for this school year. Our goal is to be competely done by the end of May.(the last few years we've run into June.)
Easter is tomorrow. We will have church in the morning. Paul and Abby are both singing in the choir. Then a lunch out and hopefully some family time on the greenbelt trail. It is supposed to sunny and warm tomorrow :)
Well that's it for now :)

Fail
Well, I haven't taken pictures for three days! Sorry, I'm just going to put it out there and then not worry about it. I got sicker, before better. Friday night into Saturday was horrible. I could not stop coughing long enough to catch my breath. The kids and Paul went on to the Bible Quiz meet while I went on to the walk in clinic. No bronchitis, no pneumonia, just a nasty virus that's going around with a horrible cough that lasts for weeks :( I did get some new cough medicine though, that just helped the coughing stop. I was taking one with an expectorant that did not seem to help at all, and since my lungs were clear, the doc said to quit taking it. I felt much better with new meds on board Sat. night. I got up to go to church sunday morning, but was up a bit and Paul suggested a stay home and just rest, which I did. And it helped. I slept really good last night. Made it to co-op this morning, but didn't stay the whole day. The kids did their 3 classes before lunch and I taught my Latin class. We left just before lunch and I barely made it home before crashing. Paul had today off for MLK, so I let him take care of dinner and such...... :) Fell asleep for a bit, read a book, and just finished getting the kids' assignment books ready for the rest of the week. I will try to start taking pics again tomorrow!

Decided I needed to catch up the last couple of days' pictures. I'm still feeling crummy. This cough just won't quit. I did get some cough medicine and it helps a bit, but I am just plain ol' exhausted. I did go to Church Wednesday night, since I missed the week before. Thursday, we had co-op and a guitar lesson and I was so thankful that our mother/daughter book club got rescheduled to next week, I don't think we would have made it that night. Today, Paul was off for a four day weekend, but Abby had her first girls club meeting and didn't want to miss it, so we went. We did end up leaving early though. Tomorrow the kids have a Bible Quiz meet, but Paul wants me to stay home and rest, and I think I'm going to do that. Though I've never missed a meet yet! But I do need to rest and try and get better. If I'm not better after the weekend, he's making me go see the doctor....
Today's picture is of Abby stitching her project at girl's club today.

P365 January 11th
Hello :) Not much to share today. We overslept, but I needed it(I finally slept all night with no coughing fits waking me up!). We managed to get school done on time and even some housework and chores. Made Ranch Pork Chops for dinner. So easy and so yummy :)
My picture today is of gatorade bottles, washed and drying to be used in my co-op class later this week.

P365 January 10th
Back to our Monday co-op today! Woke up to snow, but by the time we headed out we just had to deal with snow covered streets in our neighborhood, the main roads and the interstate were just fine. Of course we left early, and since the roads were mostly fine, we arrived early! It was nice to be back, but I was wiped out by the end of the day. I've pretty much not done a thing since we got home this afternoon :(
I'm giving this cough until the end of the week, if it's not getting better or gets worse I'm heading to the doctor. I can't believe it's zapping so much of my energy. Other than that I feel fine.
We watched the new Karate Kid finally. We all really liked it. The kids now want to see the original one. Will have to do that soon.
My picture for today is of one of my beloved kitchen appliances. My very best friend on a long, co-op day :) I own three so far, this is the one that I happened to have dinner cooking in today. Which by the way I need a better recipe, wasn't very good at all :( But I had to try it! LOL
