Thought I would update a little since I was thinking about it and sitting here.
I didn't post where we are moving, some of you hadn't heard that info yet. We are moving to Boise, Idaho. Paul has to report mid August to his unit, we will be leaving right around August 1st. Our plan is to stay at his dad's while we find a place to live, hopefully that won't take long. Paul will get 10 days TDY to help with this and can take some more leave days if need be as well.
(We've decided we would go ahead and use our children's first names)FYI
What we've been up to.....not a whole bunch of new things. Paul and Jacob went to Boy Scouts monday night, I think they just worked on some badges, I can't remember which ones, that's daddy's dept. so most of the time I don't pay alot of attention unless it's something he needs to work on during the day. Abby and I went to her Keepers of the Faith meeting while the boys were gone. We are working on our Etiquette chapter. Rachel who is our fearless leader :) put together a fabulous lapbook on manners that the girls worked on. She is so creative! What a fun way to learn.
Tuesday we worked on our schoolwork in the morning and then after lunch had some families from our homeschool group over to play Legos. Jacob brought out every Lego he has for this event. He's got quite abit from over the last 12 years! I should have taken a picture, but of course I didn't think of it. I will try and get better about that. They had alot of fun playing together and we are looking forward to the next one.
After my niece and nephew got out of school for the day, they came over to play. They played webkinz(with the actual animals, not on the computer) and played outside a bit. We ended up going out to dinner with them as well.
Wednesdays are band days for my daughter. This morning was actually our last class. Next week they will play at a retirement home here in town and then on the weekend will have their last concert for the year. Abby has really enjoyed playing the flute and we all will miss this group next year!
We had plans to meet some friends at the park afterwards but it was raining too much to do so. We had already rescheduled it from last week! So we are going to try again for next week. Pray for no rain! LOL So instead we ran a couple errands. Jacob found some neat books at Value Village about soldiers and their uniforms and gear from the early wartimes. Also a spy book from Usborne. He's upstairs as I type reading them. He couldnt' wait to get to them!
We came home and had lunch and then got busy on some schoolwork. Jacob had taken most of his with him to work on while we waited for Abby this morning. So it didn't take him long to finish. Abby is still working on some math. Takes her longer, she keeps spinning in her chair and stopping to ask me questions completely unrelated to math! LOL
Tonight I'm making pork chops for dinner. Jacob requested green beans, so I will make those as well. Not sure what else.
Finally received Abby's referral for her opthamologist appt. Friday. Of course they listed the wrong doctor. But I called and it's the right clinic so they said it shouldn't be a problem. Just once I'd like a referral to come through with no hiccups. I haven't had the happen once yet!
I don't have pictures. I need to remember to take some!
Be blessed!
